“Dr. Sean is amazing! My husband and I use to have to wait 6 months for a teeth cleaning appt at old dentist, always had to wait once in the office, and dentist didn't even see me after a cleaning! Finding Tomalty Dental Care has been wonderful. The staff is extremely nice , we can get an appt very easily with no wait, and Dr. Sean is gentle and spends as long as you need with any of your concerns. I will be referring this practice to everyone!“

Boynton Beach Dental Crown

A dental crown completely covers a tooth and can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance by restoring its natural shape and size. A dental crown can cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn't enough tooth structure left, or if you have a cavity too large to be fixed with just a filling. It can be used to attach a dental bridge, protect a weak or decayed tooth from breaking, restore a tooth that's already broken, or cover a dental implant. A crown is a good way to cover a tooth that is discolored or isn't aesthetically shaped.

How is a dental crown made?

A dental crown is fabricated in a dental lab. Dr. Tomalty will prepare your tooth for the crown & remove any tooth decay, and then take an impression or mold of your prepared tooth.  After the dental crown is fabricated, it will be cemented onto your tooth. Just like a natural tooth, a dental crown still requires brushing, flossing, and regular dental cleanings.
